9th Pink Saturday: Marie in Pink
.
Ever since I came across posts where it’s about Marie and how people are inspired about her, curiosity got me. And so, when Joy of Cupids Charm held a week long celebration all about Marie, I jumped into the wagon.
.
It was such a fun experience for someone like me who knows very little about her. The posts delve on various topics . . . interesting topics (her life in general, treasures, beauty secrets – – – Marie Antoinette as a woman).
.
While learning all these facts, Joy secretly was offering a triple giveaway. She was gonna give a Marie Antoinette charm to three people and I’m one of the lucky ones. She didn’t tell or show the charm so that was a surprise.
.
What did I receive?
.
.
.
.
A pretty little charm where Marie sparkles in Pink! How appropriate for Pink Saturday.
.
The box was wrapped in a very delicate white wrapping paper with a Pink ribbon and Pink tag. The angel (sticker) guarding the outside of the treasure also has some Pink ribbons.
.
Inside the package is a pink note from Joy, her card, and a gold box housing Marie herself.
.
Let’s have a closer look.
.
.
.
.
“portrait charm of Marie Antoinette collaged over a copy of 1975 Revolution inventory of her jewelry with Austrian crystal and pearl, sterling bead” – as described by Joy
.
How perfect, pearl is my birthstone.
.
And look at Marie’s choker and gown – – – it’s pink glitters!
.
.
.
I wanted to wear the charm as a pendant. The size is not too big.
.
And so, I made a necklace. Of course it has to be pink too to match 🙂
.
The one below is the closest shade of pink thread I could find. As you can see, if ever I want to change things up, I can use it as a bracelet and wrap on my wrist.
.
.
.
Thanks Joy!
(Do visit her to see her other creations. She makes lovely jewelries. In fact, she has a tutorial post on how to make your very own rose garden necklace)
.
.
.
Thank you too Miss Beverly.

Some has asked me on how to steam a cake from my previous post about chocolate cake balls. I do try to answer them directly to your blogs. But if ever, I’ll be updating the post and add a little description (bottom part of the post) on how I steamed the cake 🙂
What a beautiful necklace! I will be sure and check out her website! Happy PS!
What a nice gift to receive in the mail. The pendant is so pretty and I love that you made it into a necklace so you can enjoy it more.

Dear Li
Happy Pink Saturday, and what a beautiful Marie Antoinette charm. I like the way you hung it on a pink thread. You could even do a nice black thread with it.

What a beautiful necklace. How lucky for you to win. Like you I don’t know a lot about Marie. I did see the movie that was released a couple years ago, I was in awe of the shoes, dresses and decor on the set. It was so beautiful.
